JemX is Jem’s AI consulting division. It exists for a simple reason: Inside Jem, we started using AI and modern tooling to solve our own problems. We built internal dashboards, automations, and tools to remove manual work, reduce errors, and speed up decisions. It worked.
In the process, we realised something important: If we can do this for ourselves, why wouldn’t our customers want the same capability?
JemX was launched to take this approach and apply it directly to our customers’ biggest operational problems.
We work with leadership teams to identify one painful workflow or blind spot and solve it properly, in days. We use AI to design and build custom software, dashboards, and automations at speed.

The JemX sprint (initial work)

  • R40,000 success fee (excl. VAT)
  • You only pay if you decide to keep using what we build.
There is no upfront cost. If travel is required beyond normal expectations, it is discussed only after the value is proven and only if you proceed.
Ongoing work
Most customers choose to continue working with JemX after a successful sprint. Ongoing work is scoped clearly, priced hourly and focused on saving time, reducing cost, or unlocking visibility.
Hourly rates depend on your relationship with Jem:
  • Tier 1: Jem customers using our full suite of products (Lowest hourly rate)
  • Tier 2: Jem customers using just our HR products (Standard hourly rate)
  • Tier 3: Non-Jem customers (Highest hourly rate)
Exact rates are shared upfront once scope is agreed. The goal of the sprint is to prove whether ongoing work is worth doing together.

How much of my team's time is needed?
Just one scoping meeting and a handover. We do the heavy lifting so you can stay focused on your operations.
What if I'm not satisfied with the solution?
We stand by our work. If it doesn't meet the agreed success metrics, you don't pay. Simple as that.
Does this replace our current IT?
Not at all. We work alongside your existing systems (Payroll, Rostering, Invoicing etc) to make them more efficient.
What happens after the sprint is complete?
Upon completion, you'll receive a validated and working prototype, a clear roadmap for next steps, and actionable insights from user testing. JemX can also assist with further implementation, or help integrate the solution into your existing strategy.
